The Mongols Motorcycle Club is a violent OMG positioned and primarily active in the Pacific states and Southwest of the United States. The club was formed by Hispanic Vietnam War veterans who were refused entry to the Hells Angels because of their race.

The Mongols are known to participate in drug dealing (narcotics, cocaine, marijuana, and especially methamphetamine), money laundering, robbery, extortion, firearms violations, murder and assault, among other crimes. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) considers the Mongols OMG the most violent and dangerous OMG nationwide.

The Mongols are have ties to Hispanic street gangs in California and have created alliances with other OMGs nationwide, including the Bandidos, Outlaws, Pagans, and Sons of Silence, against the Hells Angels. Competition between the two groups dates back to the 1980s when the Mongols over took Southern California from the Hells Angels.
Mongol members identify themselves through the popular use of patches and tattoos. Their official logo is of a Mongol warrior riding a motorcycle with sun glasses. The figure is depicted along with the name of the OMG and chapter, typically on a biker jacket or leather vest. Other identifiers include Mongol Nation, Mongol Brotherhood and One Percenters, a term invoking the connotation of being an “outlaw.”
The Mongols Motorcycle Club is primarily composed of Hispanic and Caucasian members, 18 years of age or older. Several of its members, including its founding fathers, are known to be active military and United States veterans. The OMG has chapters in 14 states and four countries, the United States, Italy, Germany and Mexico.
